Thanks for you patience gang. We are back on track and will continue to be on schedule until our Christmas break. Should also have some information on merch for you guys next week or the week after that as well!
A quick update for you to let you know that we aren’t dead, that we will be making a new show next week (!) and that you are awesome for making the Strava Club such a great resource for the every day rider and being a part of it!
As I mentioned, we will be making a brand new show for you guys next week! Also, expect to hear more about decals the 1st or 2nd week of November! Is there anything else that you would like to see with the RBR logo? Go ahead and let us know!
How are you doing on your goals? Bill M put up a great post in the Strava club about his. Join in the discussion!
Bonus show, kinda, for you guys this week. In our attempt to back on track, someone had to double up, and I picked RBR, so you have that going for you, which is nice.
In this week’s episode, I tease Brian for needing a larger saddle (and possibly a trike) after that 200 mile ride he did last month, then we both get up on the RBR soap box for a bit of ranting about professional cycling and safety. We did base these on a few stories, here are the links.
We are back, finally with a new episode for you guys, talking about bicycle stuff and beer, like we like to do. An update about the Strava club (you guys are killing it!) and a couple of news stories to peak your interest.
Finishing up, like you do, with some beer talk. Yep.
Thanks for the feedback on the new logo! I have a few more tweaks to make to it, then we’ll be having some stickers made from MotoringStripes.com. I’m still working on other cool swag items for you too, so stay tuned!
WOW! What a week here at Ride Bikes Radio! Let’s start off with some updates from the Strava club where 68 of you clocked over 2400 miles this week! Nicely done! Also, be sure to check out the conversations happening over there, inluding the latest one about chain maintenance. Brian lays down some good rules to follow for us about this too and I have a few tips (links below) for kit and snacks.
But, the big reason we are talking today is because Brian rode a double century! That’s more than 200 miles (or 322km) and he did that in a single day! He gave us a recap of his experience that I think you guys are going to enjoy listening too. And you know we are going to be talking more about this in upcoming shows for those of you that are looking to get into riding some larger miles!
Finally, check out album art! That’s Ray’s rig, with his ride leaned on it. Check out the post on Facebook for more details and be amazed that he can still manage 70 miles in a week!
New show, post 4th of July here in the states and we get right to it with tips on getting your poutine fix in the US. Then, Brian catches us up on his bike drama of late and his ongoing preparations for the upcoming Seattle to Portland ride. A quick update to the Strava Club, where you guys and gals are throwing down huge miles. HUGE!!! Keep it going gang!
Brian gives us a quick update on the Tour and I ask about riding in a group and share a story from last weekend. A short show this week, but still a lot of show in there for you guys.
We are back, finally, with a new show for you fine ladies and gentlemen. It’s been pretty hectic over here, hence the delay.
Starting off with a look at the Strava club, which is a very strong group! To make the top 10, you need to be riding over 115 miles per week! HOLY CATS!!! Plus, Brian tells us about his upcoming crazy rides. He is going to ride the STP in 1 day (!!!) and the RSVP. If you are planning on riding either of these, be sure to let us know, Brian will need someone to share the crazy with!
An update on where you guys are coming from to listen to the show and I’m proud to say, now that we have completed our first lap around the sun, we are, officially, world famous! Thank you! We finish with Brian giving us some tips on changing a tire because I really suck at it, getting schooled by dudes on recumbant bikes and a beer update.
We will be back on schedule. Again, thank you for your patience!
Let’s talk about riding bikes gang! But first, the weather where Seattle just finished seeing 3 whole days of sun shine. 3 DAYS GUYS!!! Moving on to Arizona storm watch and sadness for those of you that are flooded or snowed in. This week, we ride for you! Besides that, we talk about the news stories listed below, Brian’s latest podium finish and his new hate for Chevy S-10 pickups.
We just dropped a Strava Beacon on your COTA Texas Apple Watch thanks to my Wahooagan Runkeeper app for that.
King of the Southwest, aka Don ‘don’t call me’ Burnside, and I, the man with the same inverted initials, busted out edition 25 of the Zen-like Ride Bikes Radio. We get hot and heavy about Strava’s lack of Beaconess on the Series 2 Apple Watch, Bike Flights and how they made my life easy for my trip to Austin. I had a chance to make some circles with our man George Hsu and of course we broach the subject of our other favorite four letter word, Beer. Do not miss this quarter century edition of RBR, you will cry your eyes out if you do.
Coming up, the Month of May is National Bike Month with the 19th being National Bike to work day. Who will be participating in that? Comments are open, let us know!
Don’t forget, if you want your photo featured as the album art for a show, it’s super simple! Either upload it to our Facebook page or do an ‘@’ reply to use at Twitter or Instagram and we will make that happen!
